Spatial areas of genotype probability: Predicting the spatial distribution of adaptive genetic variants under future climatic conditions

چکیده

In a context of rapid global change, one the key components for survival species is their genetic evolutionary potential adaptation. Many methods have been developed to identify variants underpinning adaptation climate, but few tools were made available integrate this knowledge into conservation management. We present here SPatial Areas Genotype probability (SPAG), method transpose results genotype–environment association studies an spatial prediction framework. define univariate model predicting distribution single-locus adaptive genotype and three multivariate models allowing integration several loci in composite genotype. Unlike existing methods, SPAGs provide (a) flexible approach combine under different types intergenic relationships (b) cross-validation framework assess pertinence predictions. can be integrated with climate change projections forecast future genotypes. The analysis mismatch between current (“genomic offset”) makes it possible vulnerable populations potentially lacking genotypes necessary survival. tested SPAG on simulated population applied characterize 161 Moroccan goats bioclimatic conditions. identified seven regions goat genome strongly associated precipitation seasonality used predict potential. then forecasted shift strong scenario uncovered likely threatened methodology efficient tool across landscape information frameworks.

Measuring the spatial distribution of sound pressure in a fish tank under laboratory conditions (Research Article)

Sound-related behavioural studies explore the effects of sound on underwater animals in tanks under controlled laboratory conditions. In this study, we aim to assess sound pressure distributions and gradients in a small-sized water-filled tank that can be used in behavioural studies to examine anthropogenic sound effects on fish and invertebrates and to raise awareness among scientists in the f...

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

Spatial Distribution of Arsenic under the Influence of Chemical Fertilizers Using Geostatistics in Eghlid, Fars, Iran

Background & Aims of the Study: The aim of this study is spatial distribution of arsenic (As) under the influence of chemical fertilizers using geostatistics in city of Eghlid, Iran. Materials & Methods: In this descriptive study, spatial distribution of arsenic was randomly investigated in 100 soil samples and its content was measured by ICP-OES. Spatial distribution of As and geostatistic...

Effects of light and sound stimuli on spatial distribution and swimming activity of Daphnia under laboratory conditions

Aquatic ecosystems are heterogeneous in terms of light and sound distribution. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of environmental abiotic factors, light and sound stimuli, on Daphnia (Daphnia magna) swimming behaviour.  Here, we examined behavioural changes of Daphnia (N=24) in response to light and sound treatments simultaneously. The treatments concerned a 2×2 design with br...
